Discover a whole new layer of acoustic reality in our everyday environment. A spatial (stereo) handheld EMF scanner, that translates electro magentic fields into stereo audio signals. Transformers in power supplies, energy saving lamps, computers and mobile devices are all sources of diverse sounding EMF. This device is based on the ‘Elektrosluch3+’ circuit by Jonáš Gruska.
A VOLUME pot controls the output via 3.5mm stereo socket for headphones or direct connection of a recorder (most recorders are EMF sources themselves!). The circuit incorporates a high performance OPA2134 audio amplifier IC for best sound quality. An ultraviolet LED indicates the ON/OFF state (toggleswitch) of the device and illuminates the ‘scanned’ zones. A 3.5mm stereo input socket in the front to connect your own coils (eg. 10mH) for experimental set-ups (if you plug something in, the coils on the PCB will be automatically disabled.) The device runs on 9V battery (included), that is sandwiched between two layers of PCB. The solder points are isolated by a transparent base plate made from recycled acryl.
