This is a mutated + coupled METSÄÄN ‘DIRTY DRONE’ version of a REVERSE LANDFILL 'CREEP CLUSTER’. Check out www.reverselandfill.org for the original CREEP CLUSTER and more.
In the 1st stage, 2 triangle wave oscillators are switched on and off in the signal path by a 3rd square wave oscillator. In the second stage this signal runs through a second switch stage and the path is determined by 2 toggle switches. Each stage has a (very weak) passive low pass filter, that allows to ‘shave off’ the highest frequencies as well as an individual volume control to mix the sound of the two stages, which always sound in some way similar to each other. 12 body contacts enable the user to create sound modulations by touch, the function depends on the state of the rest of the settings and is mostly subtle. With the 12 mini patch points, the insertion of basic electronic components leads to further experimental sound shaping and expands the soundspectrum of this one of a kind machine greatly (a back of assorted components is included). Build into a painted recycled wooden drawer box with grey aluminum (top, with german radioactivity warning tape) and zinked steel (bottom) panels. Powersupply (euro-plug) included.
